How to use the New Years Gross Motor Dice Inserts
I have always loved the cube dice for the dice. There is a dice set you can cut out and fold but the cube dice works so much better. I can change things up when I want.
You start by cutting out the dice inserts. There are six of them.
Then you put them in the dice. This is super easy and simple to do. I have my girls switch out the dice all the time! They also like to mix it up with other sets.
Another reason that we do the cube dice is that we love to throw the dice. And those dice have hit the ceiling so many times but the cube dice just take it!
How to use the New Years Gross Motor Dice
I always start off by introducing the movements before we do the dice. This lets you make sure they know all the movements and they know how much space they need between each other.
Gross Motor Movement: Fireworks:
You jump as high as you can keep your body straight and arms up in the air. You can challenge them to see how which they can just keeping their body straight.
Gross Motor Movement: Fireworks Explode
You jump up and extend your arms and legs out wide like you are a big firework in the sky. You can challenge kids to jump as high as they can.
Gross Motor Movement: Party Whistle
You roll across the floor and roll back just like a party blower does when you blow into it. This is a great gross motor activity for deep pressure.
Gross Motor Movement: Confetti
You fall to the floor slowly with big arm movements. You can tell them to try and make fluttering movements with their arms as they fall.
Gross Motor Movement: Balloon
: You lay on the floor and lift your arms and legs up at the same time to float. You can challenge them to hold the pose as long as they can.
Gross Motor Movement: Clock
You start still and move your arms around in circles. You can use your arms as the hour hand and minute hand with one arm going slow and one going faster.

Once you have the movements down then you can change things up. You can add the speed dice. You could also add a number dice. You can get the number dice here.
It has folding and dice insert options. I like that I can reuse the dice inserts over and over.
