Preparing Winter Sports ABC Puzzle & Puzzle Mat
You are going to see how we prepare the winter sports alphabet order puzzles to use with kids.
Laminate the Winter Sports ABC Puzzle First
You are going to laminate the puzzles and the puzzle mat. The puzzle mat can be laminated and then left as it is to use.
The puzzles you can laminate and then cut the puzzle. or You can cut out the puzzles and then laminate. You can do what works best for you laminator.
Cut Out the Winter Sports ABC Puzzles
You can see below we have cut out the puzzles. You want to do one puzzle at a time so you don’t mix them up. After they are cut up I used hair ties or elastics to keep the puzzle together and make it easy to store as well.
Preparing the Winter Sports ABC Puzzle Mat
For the puzzle mat after it is laminate you use wall putty on the sides of the puzzle. It keeps the puzzles in place while kids are building the puzzles.
This can be done for any of the puzzles that are on the site.

Setting Up an Alphabetical Order Puzzle Center
You can see a simple alphabetical order center idea below. You have the puzzles mat and one of the puzzles. If kids need help you can use the ABC bookmarks with kids. They have all the letters in order.
You can pick any of the three puzzles to do.
Building the Alphabetical Order Puzzles
You can see how easy it is to work on putting the puzzle in order. You can give them the start letter for younger kids. And with older kids just give them the puzzle to build.
We use the puzzle mat because it keeps the puzzles together while you are building the puzzles.
As kids are building the puzzle they can say the letters. You can say the order of the letters after the puzzle is built. You can do the letters forward and backward with kids.
Mixing Up the Alphabetical Order Puzzles on the Building Mat
Another fun idea for older kids is to put the puzzle mixed up on the puzzle mat. They take the puzzle off the puzzle mat and then put the puzzle together in the correct order.
A fun way to work on letters and a challenge for older kids to pick out the letters and put them in order.
