Prepare the Skiing Prewriting Strips Printables
You can laminate the skiing prewriting strips. This is a great way to use the strips. You can use dry erase markers on them after they are laminated.
You can see below a laminated page for on the skiing prewriting strips. A great part is that you can laminate and not cut them. But if you want to do one strip at a time, you will want to cut them out.
You can also store the prewriting strips on a ring. A ring keeps all the strips together and easy to store after you use them for another year.
If you don’t want to laminate you can put the page in a sheet protector and trace that way.

After you have the center set up you can have kids trace the prewriting strips. You can have them do one at a time or give them several to trace.
Trace the Prewriting With Two Strips Together
If you laminated and did not cut the page you can see how fun it is to trace the strips with both lines to trace at the same time.
Just wipe off when you are done and trace the lines again.
Use Hands-On Items on the Prewriting Strips
There are times that not ever child is ready for prewriting. Ans you can still use these. You can use them with small items to place on the lines.
You can see how we used clear counters on the lines. Simple and easy to do and still works on fine motor skills for kids. Remember that is what prewriting lines are for building fine motor skills and pencils control.
Use Playoudgh on the Skiing Prewriting Strips
Another great hands-on idea for the prewriting strips is playdough. You can make playdough snakes and then have kids line the lines with playdough. Another way to start using the lines if kids are not ready for prewriting practice with pencils or markers.
