Yes this works great as a simple coloring page. And kids love making the flowers their own. You can use crayons, markers or colored pencils. You could even use watercolors.

Torn Paper Poinsettia
You can use torn paper to make a torn paper poinsettia with the template. Kids will tear the construction paper and glue the paper on the flower. They look great when kids are done making the poinsettia.

You will see a few ways to use the tracing poinsettia worksheet.
Set up a Fine Motor Poinsettia Tracing Center
You can set up a fine motor set for kids with the poinsettia. You give them the page and pencil to trace all the lines. If they struggle to hold the pencil use a pencil grip to help.
You can do this over several days for younger kids and one sitting for older kids. A fun challenge for prewriting but changes it up to make fun and different from just straight lines.
You can also trace the lines with fine line markers.

I know that not everyone is ready for q-tip and the mini dot markers are great for that. They have a smaller head and match the circles. We love using them on dot marker pages. Easier to hold and still great for working on hand and eye coordination.
You can see how the colors pop on the flower and it is loads of fun for kids to dot as well!
