You have set up a shape tracing center for kids. You might start with one shape cards at a time with younger kids. Then work up to several cards for kids who are older. You give kids a dry erase marker for the tracing.

You can see below how we traced the shape with a dry erase marker. It is simple to trace the shape and then wipe off the shape. Then you flip to the next shape and keep going. Or just do the one shape.

You can keep the shape pages together and then trace the shapes. You can tell them a shape to trace of the four shapes on the page. or just have them trace all the shapes.

You can also not laminate the pages and put them in a sheet protector and then trace the shapes. You can store the pages in a binder for kids to trace all the shapes or just do one shape page at a time.

There are kids who do better with learning in a hands-on activity. And you can use these shape tracing cards for playdough mats as well.
Adding playdough do this shape tracing cards makes it hands-on for kids. You can see how we make playdough snakes and then lined the shape with the playdough. You can see how simple it is to do.
You can talk about how any sides a shape has or if it is smooth lines and straight lines for each shape.

You can also have kids fill in the whole shape with playdough. It is different way to use playdough on the shapes.

You can also use small items to line the shapes. You can see how we used mini erasers to line the shape. You can do this with any small item. And it gives another fine motor activity and working on the shapes.
