How we made the Cotton Ball Wig Craft
You are going to see each of the steps we used to make the cotton ball wigs.
Step 1: Measure the Heads of the Kids
I used a measuring tape to see how big each of their heads were. Then use the measuring tape to measure out the paper need to make a paper hat for the cotton balls.

Step 2: Cut Lines on the Paper
Then we cut out some lines on the paper. You want to only cut down two thirds of the way on the paper. You can have older kids cut the paper and you could cut the paper out for younger kids.
If you have older kids cut the paper, you can draw lines on the paper for them to cut.

Step 3: Place the paper Round the Head And Tape at the Back
The paper was placed around their head and taped. You can write on the inside of the paper to who hat it is.

Step 4: Tape Down the Cut Pieces to Make a Paper Hat
The cut pieces were pulled to the center and taped down to make a small hat that covered their heads.

Step 5: Place Hand Towel Inside the Paper
Hand towels were placed inside so they would hold their shape while the cotton balls were attached. You can use anything that would help the hat keeps its shape.

Step 6: Glue the Cotton Balls on the Paper
Glue was placed in a paint dish so they could dip the cotton balls in the glue and then place the cotton ball on the paper hat.
Not all kids will like the glue they get on their hands. If they only put on a few cotton balls that is okay. But this is fun much fun to see how the cotton ball wigs turn out.

Step 7: Add Bows on the Back with Yarn
Finally we added bows to the back of our cotton ball hat and was left to dry. If they added lots of cotton balls it may take a day or so to dry.
